My dad gave me an extremely advanced digital camera for Christmas. I was still using a 35 mm camera. Thus, I have no idea how to use any digital camera, let alone a highly advanced one where I can do things other than press the button and choose flash or no flash. I am now trying to teach myself how to use this camera and this website is the results of my self-teaching efforts. Click on the pictures to make them full size so they will look much more detailed.
The Specs
My camera is a Canon Rebel XT with 6.8 megapixels. The lens is the one that came with the camera. I don't have any editting software yet, other than the one that came with the camera and that's for processing RAW images. I'm not sure what those are, either. So, other than cropping and red-eye, I can't do much to the photos, meaning they are basically straight from the camera.
Trying to figure out the delicate balance that is the ISO speed and the shutter speed. I realize that the aperture is somehow involved in that equation but I don't really understand it yet. So, I've been sticking to the Tv setting and letting the camera deal with the aperture and just adjusting my ISO speed and shutter speed.

Photos for Our Wedding
We are planning on using titled pictures instead of numbers as our table designations at our wedding next May. So tonight, we set out to get some photos of places that are special to us in our relationship. Here are the results:
These last two aren't actually going to be included in our wedding stuff, but I managed to take them while we were shooting wedding photos and they turned our pretty well.
